We accept…
• Unused items: New clothes for example pajamas, under garments, jackets and shoes for all sizes and genders.
• Food: Donating food improves food security, reduces waste and strengthens Nova Scotia’s communities. Please message donate@mcha.ns.ca to arrange drop-off.
• Toiletries: Unused toiletries help our cash-strapped participants maintain their health, hygiene, dignity and self-worth. Please note we don’t accept hotel-sized products and we work with a diverse population of individuals therefore products for.
• Gift cards: Rather than showing participants at MCHA what we think they need, gift cards allow us to convey a powerful message to them: the gift of choice gives participants the power to choose what they need or want. Small denominations are best for places like Department stores, online shopping, grocery stores or drugstores and places that provide things to do in our community to help with social isolation such as movie theatre, coffee shops, restaurants, fast food places just to name a few.
